About the Role
We are partnering with Pebble Mill Care Home in Birmingham to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant on a flexible bank basis. At Pebble Mill, the dedicated care and kitchen teams work together to deliver person-centred care, supporting independence and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents. You will assist our chefs in creating a wonderful dining experience, helping to ensure every delicious meal is served with care and pride.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the welcoming link between the main kitchen and our residents.
Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept spotless, clean, and tidy.
Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, adhering strictly to mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Help cater for special events and seasonal celebrations, including summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A strong commitment to delivering excellent service at every mealtime and making residents feel right at home.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner, enjoying the opportunity to cherish the little moments with our residents.
