Morrisons is looking for a dedicated Service Team Leader to lead our front-end checkout and service teams in Connah's Quay. As a visible presence across store operations, you will drive performance forward, support colleagues using headsets, and ensure every customer enjoys a fast, friendly, and efficient checkout experience.
Be a visible leader across front-end service operations, utilizing headsets to quickly support colleagues and help customers complete purchases efficiently.
Create a welcoming, engaging environment where colleagues place customers at the heart of everything they do.
Build a supportive, performance-driven culture that recognises and rewards team contributions.
Confidently utilise dashboards and reports to optimise the front-end experience, root-cause issues, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all company policies, procedures, and legal obligations (including cash handling) are strictly followed.
Coordinate day-to-day front-end operations, covering checkouts, cash handling, petrol station, kiosk, customer service desk, trolleys, and car park.
Minimise waste and delegate tasks efficiently to keep the department running smoothly.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience in developing and leading teams, coaching colleagues to build competence, confidence, and high performance.
Strong operational and technical knowledge of retail service departments.
Excellent planning, organisational, and workload management skills.
The ability to work effectively to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
