Senior Night Carer – Residential Care Home
Location: Stubbington Manor Care Home, 139 Stubbington Lane, Fareham, PO14 2NF
Pay Rate: £17.37 per hour
Hours: 33.00 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Night Shifts
As a Residential Senior Carer, you’ll look after the varying needs of our residents to enable us to deliver exceptional, person-centred care and support throughout the night.
You will be responsible for leading a care team on shift—including training, supervisions, and delegating duties. You will also support with administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GPs, district nursing teams, and families. Always respecting resident dignity, you will play a key part in maintaining a warm, secure, and welcoming environment.
To join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant, you will need:
An NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Previous experience working in a residential care setting.
Proven team leadership skills and the ability to make sound, independent decisions supporting resident wellbeing.
A warm-hearted, compassionate disposition and a commitment to individualised care.
(With ongoing training, many of our Senior Carers progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or onto nursing pathways!)
