Building Services Engineer

In this full-time facilities engineering role based in Colchester, UK, you will work 40 hours per week overseeing maintenance for the entire site, including the building shell, mechanical plants, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and swimming pool systems. You will manage preventative maintenance routines using an electronic CAFM system, perform compliance checks (water hygiene, PAT testing, emergency lighting), and maintain site safety standards in Colchester, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and swimming pool infrastructure in Colchester, UK.

• Conduct compliance testing including water hygiene checks, PAT testing, and emergency lighting inspections across facilities in Colchester, UK.

• Utilize an electronic CAFM system to process queries, execute preventative maintenance programs, and ensure site safety compliance in Colchester, UK.

Requirements

• Recognized electrical qualification (17th/18th Edition or equivalent) with strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) in Colchester, UK.

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or technician within commercial or industrial facilities in Colchester, UK.

• Hands-on technical skills in HVAC, plant maintenance, pool maintenance, and compliance regulations in Colchester, UK.
