Hourly Pay: £40.00 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay

About the Role Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Diagnostic Healthcare Ltd—a trusted medical imaging provider established in 2004—to source an experienced and professional Sonographer. In this flexible, casual role, you will provide high-quality ultrasound services across various community sites and NHS Trust hospitals, working independently to deliver accurate examinations and comprehensive diagnostic reports.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a wide range of independent ultrasound examinations in alignment with company, NHS, and national guidelines.
Interpret ultrasound images and write precise, comprehensive diagnostic reports with clinical recommendations.
Work in accordance with specific Trust protocols and seek Radiologist review when clinically appropriate.
Maintain an efficient patient pathway by collaborating closely with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants and handling clinic preparations, including PACS uploading.
Deliver safe, compassionate patient care, effectively managing anxious or distressed individuals with complex needs.
Support clinical governance, audit activities, and the training of students and healthcare staff.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications: Relevant postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (e.g., DMU, PGC/D or equivalent).
Registration: Current professional registration (such as HCPC registration where applicable) and current UK professional registration.
Clinical Experience: Strong background and proven competence in independent scanning and reporting within your scope of practice.
Core Skills: Excellent communication, sound clinical judgment, familiarity with PACS and patient management systems, and flexibility to travel across locations.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
