About the Role
Estamos recruiting a skilled Speech and Language Therapist on a permanent basis on behalf of Wellesley Hospital in Wellington, Somerset, a purpose-built 101-bed hospital supporting men and women with complex mental health needs.
In this vital clinical role, you will play a key part in helping service users develop and enhance their communication skills. You will manage a designated caseload, deliver specialist assessments and interventions for communication and/or swallowing (dysphagia) difficulties, lead therapeutic group sessions, and work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to drive meaningful recovery.
What You Will Need
Qualifications & Registration: A recognized Speech and Language Therapy qualification with current HCPC registration.
Experience: Proven experience managing a caseload involving the assessment and treatment of dysphagia, alongside experience working with families.
Skills & Development: Strong clinical knowledge in mental health-related communication needs, evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and excellent teamwork and caseload management abilities.
Proximity & Attitude: A compassionate, person-centred approach, and ideally living within a manageable commute of Wellington, Somerset (TA21 9FF).
