About the Role
In this high-profile leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of engineering activities across multiple workstreams within a mission system capability and integration programme. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering integrated software and hardware solutions that meet strict performance, cost, and schedule requirements while ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams, enterprise initiatives, and external partners.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the delivery and management of assigned Hybrid Navy capability projects across single or multiple customer workstreams.
Maintain comprehensive engineering management plans, schedules, and interface definitions for each project.
Coordinate engineering inputs spanning the full system lifecycle—including design, build, integration, test, acceptance, and transition to service.
Liaise directly with customers and design teams to facilitate the smooth delivery and acceptance of integrated system solutions.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Qualifications):
Leadership Experience: A proven track record of successfully leading and managing design and engineering teams.
Complex Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, technical risks, and uncertainty in large-scale projects.
Academic & Professional Background: An academic qualification in a STEM-related subject, alongside the ability and willingness to attain Chartered Engineer status through a recognized professional institution.
Security Note: Due to defense and export control regulations, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
