As a Senior Care Assistant on a bank contract, you will play a pivotal role in running a unit and managing core clinical duties. You will lead a talented team of Care Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, personal care infused with warmth and kindness.
Key Responsibilities:
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, including clinical duties such as observations, medication administration, care plan reviews, and accurate record-keeping.
Lead, manage, and coordinate a team of Care Assistants, taking charge of shift handovers.
Help with the induction, training, and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported.
Build strong, professional relationships with residents, their families, and external multidisciplinary healthcare teams like GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with a range of personal care duties while championing their independence and dignity.
Note: A DBS check is required for this role due to working with vulnerable individuals, with the £40 cost fully covered by Bupa.
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (Bupa is happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed).
Proven experience in a senior care role, paired with solid knowledge of clinical responsibilities and CQC standards.
