Position: Permanent Activities Co-ordinator

Location: Brookside Care Home, Ruskin Avenue, Melksham, SN12 7NG

Pay Rate: £13.67 per hour (with higher weekend pay rates available)

Contract Type: Permanent / 20 hours per week

About the Role

As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with this leading not-for-profit provider to find an enthusiastic and creative Activities Co-ordinator for Brookside Care Home in Melksham.

Serving the local and wider Wiltshire community for over 40 years, Brookside offers compassionate, individualised residential care for up to 50 residents. In this role, you will be at the heart of creating a vibrant, joyful community atmosphere—designing and delivering an engaging programme of events, hobbies, and entertainment that promotes independence and brings genuine joy to our residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, plan, and deliver an engaging, diverse ongoing programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' needs.

• Get to know residents individually, discovering their past passions and current interests to help them create new memories.

• Engage with the local community, families, and friends to invite guests in and enrich the activities schedule.

• Work collaboratively as part of a warm, supportive extended family team dedicated to resident wellbeing.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in event coordination, activities planning, or working with elderly people in a residential setting.

• Attributes: Confident, outgoing, and empathetic communication skills with a natural ability to connect with residents and motivate others.

• Passion: A creative approach to person-centred engagement and a commitment to ensuring residents lead full, active lives.
