Salary: £13.30 to £14.30 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Day shifts available; please note that due to the home's location, own transport is required)

We are partnering with Shockerwick House (part of Bupa)—a top-rated care facility set in 12 acres of wheelchair-friendly gardens on the outskirts of Bath—to find a dedicated Care Assistant for a permanent role. In this vital position, you will be right at the heart of the community, providing person-centred care, companionship, and physical and mental stimulation to help our residents live life to the full.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements, from daily companionship to personal care.
Monitoring, documenting, and reporting changes in residents' behaviour and needs in line with regulatory requirements.
Supporting residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plans.
Providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social, recreational, and creative activities, both individually and in groups.
What You’re Looking For
A motivated, positive attitude with fantastic interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work seamlessly both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification is desirable, but a caring heart is what matters most!
Must have own transport due to the rural location of the home.
