Set within extensive and inspiring grounds, Farsley Farfield is a popular community school with approximately 440 pupils aged 3–11. Known for its strong academic standards, rich curriculum, and unique facilities—including a school farm—the school is seeking a visionary leader to build on its many strengths and guide its next chapter of excellence.
As Headteacher, you will provide strategic vision and operational leadership, ensuring every child achieves their full potential within a nurturing, inclusive environment. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & School Improvement: Driving continued academic excellence, building on performance consistently at or above national averages, and maintaining an innovative curriculum (including PE, outdoor learning, horticulture, and cooking).
Inclusion & Wellbeing: Placing inclusion, safeguarding, and personal development at the heart of the school, ensuring strong support for pupils with SEND and additional needs.
Staff Leadership: Inspiring and leading a highly skilled, committed, and caring staff team to deliver excellence in teaching and learning.
Partnership & Community Engagement: Building strong relationships with children, families, governors, and the wider community to strengthen collaborative networks.

A proven track record of successful headship, leadership, and school improvement.

Strong strategic vision with the ability to inspire a talented staff team and engage a diverse community.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
