Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist our valued client in recruiting an experienced Band 6 Children's Complex Care Nursing Care Co-ordinator to join their Specialist Nursing Service in Birmingham, UK. Based at Lansdowne Health Centre within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, this permanent full-time post offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Children’s Nurse to provide personalized community support for children and young people with complex physical health needs.

In this full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, you will coordinate and deliver bespoke packages of care within home, school, and community environments. You will assess care requirements, manage day-to-day team operations in the absence of the Team Leader, and train health care assistants, parents, and family members to safely support technology-dependent children (including those requiring invasive ventilation).

Role Description

As a Band 6 Children's Complex Care Nursing Care Co-ordinator, you will manage dynamic care packages for children with complex health needs, train family members and care staff, oversee shift coordination, and deliver compassionate community nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor high-quality specialist nursing care for children and young people with complex, technology-dependent physical health needs in community settings.

• Provide clinical supervision, practical training, and competency sign-offs for healthcare assistants, parents, and family carers.

• Coordinate daily service operations, lead multidisciplinary care planning, and manage team activities in the absence of the Clinical/Team Leader.

Requirements

• Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN / RN Child Branch), Registered Adult Nurse, or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse with a degree and significant clinical experience.

• Significant experience working as a Children's Nurse with advanced assessment skills and proven clinical leadership capabilities.

• Must be a valid car driver with the ability to travel across community locations in Birmingham.
