About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a skilled and customer-focused Market Street Butcher for their store in Bridlington.

In this role, you will be the face of the fresh butcher counter, utilizing your knife skills and butchery expertise—whether gained behind a counter or in a professional kitchen—to prepare top-quality meat cuts. From boning, cutting, and mincing to creating attractive displays and offering exceptional customer service, you'll play a vital part in upholding Morrisons' tradition of fresh food excellence. You will also have the opportunity to work flexibly across other fresh counters when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meat primals to company specifications, including cutting, pricing, weighing, steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavouring, and wrapping using appropriate tools (knives, saws, mallets, and mincing machines).

• Maintain high-quality, fresh, and attractive product displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.

• Produce tailored meat cuts based on customer requirements, including online orders.

• Deliver outstanding, friendly service that highlights traditional butchery skills and creates moments that matter for customers.

• Maintain strict standards of health, safety, and hygiene while handling equipment.

What We Are Looking For

• Trained butchers or individuals with proven butchery/knife skills and experience (behind a counter or in a professional kitchen).

• Friendly, supportive, and approachable attitude with a passion for going above and beyond for customers.

• Enjoys staying active, hands-on, and working in a fast-paced, varied environment.

• Comfortable working flexible shift patterns, including early starts (from 6:00 AM), late finishes (up to 8:00 PM), and weekend work.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
