Location: Copper Beech Care Home, Eastbourne Road, Ridgewood, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 5ST

Salary: £13.40 to £14.40 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week, including alternate weekends)

As a Senior Housekeeper through Supportive Bridge, you will ensure every corner of the care home sparkles. You will lead a dedicated team of housekeepers and laundry assistants, inspiring them to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness while working hand-in-hand with maintenance and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness across the home, collaborating closely with maintenance and management teams to keep every room well-looked-after.

• Lead by example through hands-on cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping floors, polishing, and maintaining all communal areas and resident bedrooms.

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry assistants, managing staff rotas, organizing required training, and ensuring domestic supplies are adequately stocked and replenished.

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role with a strong commitment to maintaining an organised, high-standard environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently lead, motivate, prioritize, and delegate tasks within a team.

• An approachable, caring nature and a genuine enjoyment of getting to know residents and collaborating across teams.
