About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a skilled and customer-focused Market Street Baker for their store in Norwich.

In this exciting role, you will be the face of our fresh bakery. Whether you are a trained baker or have experience working in a bakery or professional kitchen, you will bring your passion for mixing, molding, and baking to create a wonderful variety of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer confidence in the availability of fresh bakery products throughout the day.

• Maintain quality, fresh, and attractive displays of food to promote sales.

• Prepare bakery products for sale to company specifications using appropriate equipment (prover, oven, mixer) and competent baking skills, including a variety of bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products.

• Deliver outstanding, friendly, and helpful service, creating moments that matter and highlighting traditional skills and fresh products.

• Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street to ensure all customer needs are met.

What The Role Requires

• Competent baker skills, including the ability to mix and mold dough to make bakery products (trained baker, bakery background, or professional kitchen experience).

• A friendly, supportive approach with a passion for meeting new people and going above and beyond for customers.

• Enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced, varied environment.

• Able to use initiative to support and resolve customer queries.

• Competent in using a range of equipment while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
