Kitchen Assistant (Bank)

As a Kitchen Assistant (Bank), you will assist the culinary team with basic food preparation, plating, and maintaining a spotlessly clean working environment. Working on a flexible shift basis, you will act as an important link between the kitchen and care staff to support daily resident dining.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, plating meals, and readying food trolleys for residents.

• Maintain rigorous kitchen cleaning schedules, including washing crockery, utensils, and food prep areas.

• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and Health and Safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• Good communication skills and a practical, organized approach to managing pressure in a kitchen setting.

• A genuine interest in working within a residential care home environment.

• Right to work in the UK and availability to cover flexible bank shifts within a commutable distance of Whitley Bay, UK.
