Position: Residential Team Leader
Location: Solo Placement Home, Liskeard, Cornwall (on the edge of Bodmin Moor)
Salary: £29,108 to £30,889 per annum (Dependent on Experience) + £50 per sleep-in allowance
Contract Type: Full-Time, averaging 39 hours per week (typically includes 2 to 3 overnight sleep-ins per week)

We are recruiting for a dedicated Residential Team Leader to join our unique solo placement home in Liskeard, Cornwall, supporting children aged 5 to 17 upon admission in a calm, rural setting on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
In this highly fulfilling leadership role, you will have a rare opportunity to provide focused, consistent care that truly changes a young person's life. You will help create a warm, nurturing environment where children are respected, listened to, and actively involved in shaping their daily lives. Working within a trauma-informed framework, you will guide the young person through healthy routines, support their education, and reduce challenging behaviors by teaching healthier ways to cope.
Support the young person to develop healthy routines, independence, and essential life skills.
Attend appointments, support education, and encourage positive learning experiences.
Maintain a warm, homely environment by assisting with household tasks and upkeep.
Update and maintain accurate electronic records.
Support the leadership team in coaching and mentoring newer team members, taking part in supervision, and fostering a strong team culture.
Essential Qualification: You must hold a Level 3 (or Level 4) qualification in Children and Young People.
A commitment to ongoing professional development, including completing the Level 4 Diploma.
A Full UK Driving Licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
Good written skills, IT confidence, and strong communication/active listening abilities.
A calm, resilient approach in challenging situations, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
