Salary: £15.00 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent or 0-Hour contractual basis (Full-time & flexible working options available)

Working Pattern: Day shifts (2-to-1 care package) and night shifts (1-to-1 care) available

About the Role

We are acting on behalf of Claimont Health LTD—a CQC-registered, dynamic provider of high-quality mental health and complex care services delivered in the comfort of clients' homes—to recruit dedicated and experienced Complex Care Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants.

In this vital community-based role, you will provide high-level, person-centred care to an adult client with a spinal injury and other complex health needs. Working under the guidance of the Complex Care Lead Nurse, you will manage clinical interventions, support daily routines, and make a profound, positive impact on the client's independence and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complex Clinical & Personal Care

• Deliver bespoke, high-level care supporting clients with spinal injuries, motor neurone disease, and complex respiratory needs.

• Manage specialized clinical care tasks, including non-invasive ventilation (NIV), nebulisers, oral suctioning, NG tube feeding, and medication management.

• Support clients with daily routines, life skills, and mobility while maintaining clear professional boundaries within the home environment.

2. Communication & Safety Governance

• Communicate with sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism, working closely with the client, family members, and the multidisciplinary clinical team.

• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical notes and case records in compliance with information governance and data protection standards.

• Promote safeguarding, adhere strictly to care protocols, and demonstrate high attention to detail in monitoring client health and wellbeing.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Gender Requirement: Female only (Genuine Occupational Qualification under the Equality Act 2010).

• Driving Requirement: Must hold a valid UK driving licence, have access to a reliable vehicle, and be able to drive a manual car.

• Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of proven complex care experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries or similar complex health needs; relevant health/social care qualification (such as NVQ Level 3/4, Diploma, Nursery Nurse qualification, or equivalent).

• Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, maturity, independent working ability, and a strong commitment to person-centred care.

• Vetting: Must successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
