Role Overview
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to recruit an experienced and passionate Head Chef on a permanent basis.

As Head Chef, you will have full autonomy to lead and inspire your kitchen team, create fresh seasonal menus, bake from scratch, and deliver hotel-standard dining experiences that put residents' nutrition and wellbeing first.

Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour
Hours: 40.00 hours per week (Working days and alternate weekends, across 4/5 days a week)
Contract Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Days

What We Are Looking For
To join us as Head Chef, you will need:
A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing
A City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary qualification
Experience leading, motivating, and inspiring a kitchen team
Strong experience working with fresh seasonal food and a good understanding of nutrition
Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and the IDDSI framework for modified diets (training provided if new to care)
Confidence engaging with residents to build appetising, person-centred menus
