Quick Role Overview

• Experience: Nursing home experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and development support are provided

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse on the night team, you will act as the clinical anchor for the home. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading with Heart: Running shifts as the Nurse in Charge, coordinating team tasks, and ensuring clinical excellence.

• Person-Centred Care: Administering medications, updating tailored care plans, and advocating for residents' dignity and choices.

• Clinical Governance: Handling clinical decision-making, liaising with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams, and maintaining strict safeguarding and infection control standards.

• Holistic Support: Ensuring our residents feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually supported throughout the night.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a blend of clinical precision and genuine empathy.

• Credentials: A recognized UK Nursing qualification with a valid, active UK NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).

• Clinical Skills: Experience (or a strong desire to learn) in syringe drivers, catheterisation, taking bloods, peg feeds, stoma care, medication management, and utilizing the PCS (Person Centred Software) system.

• Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

• Physicality: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as assisting residents with their mobility.
