About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are thrilled to connect talented baking professionals with an exciting career opportunity at Morrisons in Hamilton.
Are you passionate about baking, with experience working as a trained baker, in a bakery, or within a professional kitchen? Morrisons is looking for a dedicated Market Street Baker to bring traditional craft skills and first-class service to their fresh bakery counter.
In this role, you will be the face of the fresh bakery in-store, handling tasks such as:
Ensuring customer confidence in the continuous availability of fresh bakery products.
Preparing bakery items to company specifications using specialised equipment (prover, oven, mixer) and traditional baking skills—including a variety of bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited goods.
Maintaining quality, fresh, and attractive food displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.
Delivering outstanding, friendly, and helpful service that highlights Morrisons' fresh product offerings.
About You
We are looking for someone who loves being active and hands-on in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will possess:
Competent baking skills, including the ability to mix and mould dough.
A friendly, supportive approach with a passion for exceptional customer service.
The ability to use initiative to resolve customer queries.
Comfort using a range of equipment while maintaining high standards of Health and Safety.
A willingness to work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street.
