About the Role

Are you a trained butcher, or someone with fantastic butchery skills gained behind a butcher counter or in a professional kitchen? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to find a skilled Market Street Butcher for their Chapel-en-le-Frith store!

If you have a flair for boning, cutting, preparing, and flavoring different meats to an impressive standard, we’d love to "meat" you! As a Market Street Butcher, you will be the face of the fresh butcher's counter, ensuring exceptional quality, traditional skills, and wonderful service for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meat primals for sale to company specifications—including cutting, pricing, weighing, steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavoring, and wrapping.

• Use specialized equipment safely and correctly, such as knives, saws, mallets, and mincing machines.

• Produce custom meat cuts based on specific customer requirements, including service for our online shoppers.

• Maintain quality, fresh, and attractive food displays throughout the trading day to promote sales.

• Deliver outstanding, friendly service that highlights traditional butchery skills and fresh products.

• Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street to ensure full customer support.

• Butchery Experience: Proven butchery or knife skills/experience gained behind a counter or in a professional kitchen.

• Friendly & Supportive: Genuinely loves meeting new people, going above and beyond, and resolving customer queries using initiative.

• Active & Hands-on: Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and varied retail environment.

• Safety Conscious: Comfortable using a range of equipment while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.

• Requirements: Must be over the school-leaving age.
