Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will act as the crucial link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping to prepare and deliver delicious, nutritious meals.

• Assist the chefs: Help plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and get things ready for service.

• Maintain immaculate standards: Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules, ensuring all food preparation areas, equipment, crockery, and utensils are spotless.

• Prioritize safety: Work in strict accordance with Health & Safety and Food Standard regulations.

• Support the home's heart: Keep the kitchen running smoothly, bringing positive energy and high standards to the team.

What We Are Looking For

We want someone who is organized, collaborative, and takes pride in a job well done.

• Experienced: Background in basic food preparation and catering.

• Calm under pressure: Able to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and multi-task effectively.

• Great Communicator: Confident verbal and written communication skills.

• Resident-Focused: A genuine interest in working in a care home setting.

• Eligible to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Knebworth, Hertfordshire.
