Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring Domiciliary Care Assistant to join the team on a flexible bank contract. In this unique on-site role, you will support residents within their own private apartments and across our care facilities, bringing warmth and joy while championing their dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care duties (such as bathing, dressing, and continence care) within their own village homes.

• Support mealtimes by serving food in apartments or the care home, assisting with mobility or transfers where necessary.

• Help promote mental and physical well-being through hobbies, social activities, and engagement.

• Respond promptly to emergency calls via the village care-alert system.

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of care provided and collaborate with external professionals (GPs, OTs, Physiotherapists).

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• A genuine passion for caring for others, protecting their safety, and honouring their choices.

• Excellent listening and communication skills with a positive, optimistic attitude.

• Desirable: Previous experience in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification.

• Flexibility to cover varied shift patterns (e.g., 08:00–20:00, 08:00–14:00, 14:00–20:00, 16:00–20:00) as dictated by business needs.
