💼 Position Details

• Job Title: Cleaner (Grade 1) – Catering & Hospitality

• Employment Type: Temporary

• Contract Duration: 28 weeks

• Start Date: 1 September 2026

• Working Days: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 11.25 hours per week (2 hours 15 minutes per day)

• Working Time: 3:15pm start

• Term-time only

• DBS: Enhanced DBS required

• Pay: £13.45 per hour PAYE

🧹 About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment within the school.

You will be allocated a specific area to clean each day. Duties may include cleaning and maintaining:

• Classrooms and offices

• Corridors and communal areas

• Toilets and changing rooms

• Staff rooms

• School halls and indoor sports areas

• Sinks, work surfaces and hard furnishings

• Floors, skirting boards and window cills

Your responsibilities may include:

• Sanitising toilets, sinks, cubicles, soap dispensers, hand dryers and surrounding areas

• Hoovering, sweeping and mopping floors

• Cleaning desks, shelves and other hard surfaces

• Sanitising shower areas and changing-room facilities

• Emptying waste bins throughout the school

• Using cleaning equipment, including a scrubber dryer where required

• Following all relevant health, safety and cleaning procedures

Full training will be provided, including training on any equipment you may need to use.

• Reliable, punctual and committed

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Thorough and takes pride in their work

• Able to follow cleaning instructions and health & safety procedures

• Comfortable working in a school environment

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential

An appropriate DBS check is required for this position due to the school-based working environment.
