We are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant on a permanent basis on behalf of Bere Clinic in Waterlooville—a specialist 12-bed Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) unit supporting young people aged 12-18 with eating disorders and co-morbid mental health needs.
Working 37.5 hours a week under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian, you will play an integral role in supporting therapeutic interventions, monitoring baseline nutritional data, tracking dietary intakes, and promoting healthy eating within a supportive framework. You will also assist with group work, training sessions, and audit data collection while working alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Professional Memberships: An ideal opportunity for a Dietetic Graduate, or candidates holding relevant qualifications such as the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services or Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support, alongside associate membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
Experience & Knowledge: A basic understanding of nutrition and dietetics as related to eating disorders, coupled with an awareness of the difficulties faced by young people with mental health problems. Experience working within a CAMHS or eating disorder environment is highly desirable.
Attributes: Strong communication skills, a compassionate, person-centred approach, and a commitment to teamwork and ongoing professional development.
