Key Responsibilities
Act as the person in charge during night shifts, standing in for the Manager as required and ensuring high standards of clinical care are consistently maintained.
Undertake essential nursing tasks, including medication distribution, wound dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and the management of chronic medical conditions.
Communicate closely with families and GPs regarding any changes in residents' conditions, keeping them informed and actively involved in ongoing care decisions.
Supervise and effectively deploy care team members during the shift, ensuring all tasks are completed and residents receive required support.
Deliver high standards of care through accurate clinical assessment, planning, and documentation.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold a First Level qualification and current, active NMC Registration with valid UK professional registration.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience and up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
Core Skills & Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities, and a sound working knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
