Security Officer (Healthcare Environment)
Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, B15 2WB
Hours: 42 hours per week (12-hour shifts: 2 days [07:00 - 19:00], 2 nights [19:00 - 07:00], followed by 4 days off)

Salary: £30,169.00 per annum

Maintain a safe, secure, and reassuring environment for patients, visitors, and hospital staff across the premises.
Conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance cameras and alarms, and respond promptly and professionally to security breaches and medical emergencies.
Enforce hospital policies, manage access control and visitor procedures, and write clear, accurate incident reports and logs.
Collaborate closely with hospital staff, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.

A valid SIA Licence and a clear standard-level DBS clearance (Essential).
A full 5-year address history and a full 5-year work or education history (Essential for vetting).
Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred.
Strong communication skills, basic IT literacy, and the ability to remain calm, respectful, and composed in stressful situations.
Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK.
