Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for members attending club activities (such as breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea clubs).
Menu Planning & Budgeting: Design appealing, balanced menus that accommodate diverse dietary and cultural needs while managing food ordering and keeping within set budgets.
Kitchen Safety & Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety in line with food safety and COSHH policies, completing accurate audit records.
Volunteer & Staff Support: Supervise, support, and help train kitchen volunteers and staff, organising rotas to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Cooking Experience: Previous hands-on experience preparing and cooking meals for large numbers of people.
Certifications: A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Personal Qualities: A confident, reliable, and flexible approach with a customer-focused mindset and sensitivity to the needs of older people (experience working with volunteers is a distinct advantage).
Proximity: Ideally living within approximately 15 miles of Bognor Regis for a manageable and balanced commute.
