Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is delighted to assist our valued client in recruiting a dedicated Specialist Nurse - Stoma Care (Band 6) to join their Stoma Care team in Norwich, UK. Situated at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital within a major NHS Foundation Trust, this permanent post offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide high-quality specialist care and long-term support to patients living with a stoma.

In this part-time position working 13.5 hours per week, you will autonomously manage a specialist caseload while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust. You will deliver expert clinical assessments, symptom management, patient education, and health promotion to enhance quality of life, alongside participating in service developments, clinical audits, and staff education.

Role Description

As a Band 6 Stoma Care Nurse Specialist, you will deliver specialist clinical nursing care, manage an autonomous patient caseload, provide expert advice across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to stoma care service development and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload, delivering autonomous clinical assessment, education, and long-term management for stoma patients.

• Serve as an expert clinical resource, advising consultants, ward teams, and community healthcare professionals on stoma care.

• Contribute to service improvement, quality assurance, policy updates, clinical audits, and training for patients, families, and staff.

Requirements

• Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse with evidence of continuous professional update in specialist clinical areas.

• Significant post-registration nursing experience, including relevant practice in stoma care, colorectal care, or related clinical specialties.

• Strong clinical, communication, and caseload management skills with a demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and equality, diversity, and inclusion.
