As a Senior Care Assistant working through our supportive bridge staffing agency at Richmond Village Nantwich, you will take on a pivotal leadership role in a well-led, vibrant retirement community. In this role, you will have day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, mentoring care assistants, managing shift handovers, and supporting nurses with clinical care duties, medication, and care plans.
Unit Leadership & Management: Take charge of running a unit, managing shift handovers, and leading a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional personal care.
Clinical Support: Assist with core care duties including observations, medication administration, reviewing care plans, accurate record-keeping, and meeting CQC standards.
Staff Mentorship: Support the training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed, valued, and fully supported.
Resident Wellbeing: Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents and their families, ensuring independence, choice, and dignity are championed daily.
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support and progression provided if needed).
Proven experience working within a Senior Care or Team Leader role with a strong understanding of person-centred care.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, moving and handling techniques, and dementia awareness.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and electronic care planning skills.
