Are you passionate about baking and ready to "prove" yourself? Morrisons is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Market Street Baker in Redditch to join their vibrant store team. As the face of the fresh bakery counter, you will bring traditional baking skills to life, preparing everything from fresh bread and rolls to doughnuts and fruited products, ensuring our customers experience top-quality baked goods every single day.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a wide variety of bakery products (breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited items) using competent baking skills and equipment like provers, ovens, and mixers.
Mix, mould, and shape dough to company specifications while maintaining strict health and safety standards.
Maintain quality, fresh, and attractive food displays throughout the trading day to drive customer interest and sales.
Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service, highlighting Morrisons' traditional skills and fresh product offerings.
Support other fresh counters across Market Street flexibly to ensure all customer needs are met.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will be someone who:
Possesses competent baking experience, either as a trained baker or working in a professional kitchen/bakery environment.
Has a friendly, supportive approach and loves meeting new people.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, active, and varied environment.
Uses your own initiative to support customers and resolve queries.
Is over the school leaver’s age.
