Barchester is looking for a dedicated Senior Carer to join the team at Falmouth Court Care Home. In this vital role, you will take the lead on shift, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care while supporting their diverse daily needs in a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, train, supervise, and delegate duties to a team of care staff on shift.

• Medication Management: Safely administer and order medication for residents.

• Care Planning: Review and update resident care plans and comprehensive risk assessments.

• Multi-Agency Liaison: Communicate effectively with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident family members.

• Dignity & Respect: Always champion the dignity, independence, and personal preferences of every resident.

About You

To thrive as a Residential Senior Carer, you will meet the following criteria:

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Bring previous hands-on experience working in a residential care setting.

• Possess proven team leadership skills and the ability to make confident, sound decisions regarding resident wellbeing.

• Be warm-hearted, compassionate, and deeply committed to individualized care.

• Career Growth: This role offers excellent progression pathways into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or formal nursing pathways through ongoing training.
