The Role

As our Assistant Chef, you will be part of a fantastic kitchen team that serves as the magic behind every delicious dish. You will use your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus tailored to the dietary needs and personal preferences of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use a passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus meeting resident preferences and dietary needs.

• Put forward innovative ideas to deliver an exceptional dining experience and help residents feel at home.

• Assist with training and managing the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving food.

• Adhere strictly to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, procedures, budgets, and stock management.

• Cater for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties, and birthdays.

What We Are Looking For

• A passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen.

• Relevant hygiene certificates and a strong commitment to high culinary standards.

• An innovative, open-minded approach to cooking and menu planning.

• Excellent communication skills, a warm disposition, and a love for sharing great food with care home residents.
