Care Support Worker (Surgical Inpatients)
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone, Kent
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time – 40 hours per week (Rotational 12.0 – 12.5 hour shifts covering days and nights, Monday – Sunday)
Salary: £26,436.80 per annum

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Care Support Worker to join the surgical inpatients team at KIMS Hospital, Kent’s largest independent hospital.

What You Will Do
Monitor patients’ conditions pre- and post-surgery in line with national standards, taking observations and escalating to nursing staff when necessary.
Demonstrate good clinical practice while maintaining full accountability for your actions and supporting patient admissions and care pathways.
Act as a chaperone when required and undertake tasks such as phlebotomy and ECGs once appropriately trained.
Actively maintain and enhance your professional development within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

What We Are Looking For
A good standard of general education with proven literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills.
Previous hands-on experience working in an acute care or hospital setting as a Care Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, or Clinical Support Worker.
Strong, patient-focused communication skills with a compassionate approach (holding an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or experience with phlebotomy/ECGs, is a wonderful bonus!).
Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS check.
