In this full-time 12-month fixed-term role based in Colchester, UK, you will work 37.5 hours per week managing high volumes of patient referrals, appointments, and surgical theater schedules. You will coordinate closely with consultants, medical secretaries, and clinical departments to process patient records, answer telephone inquiries, and ensure service delivery targets are consistently met in Colchester, UK.
Manage inpatient bookings, schedule operating theater slots, arrange pre-assessment appointments, and update patient records in Colchester, UK.
Handle high volumes of telephone inquiries from patients, consultants, and departments with empathy, accuracy, and professionalism in Colchester, UK.
Coordinate room and consultant availability, adjust clinic schedules to meet demand, and compile standard or ad-hoc operational reports in Colchester, UK.
Proven background in administration or customer service; NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration (or equivalent) preferred in Colchester, UK.
High proficiency in IT and keyboard skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and healthcare administration systems in Colchester, UK.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail and a calm, empathetic approach in Colchester, UK.
