Working as a permanent Activities Assistant through our supportive bridge staffing agency on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, you will help deliver an engaging entertainment and activities programme at Hawthorns Care Centre. From social events and pastimes to outings and hobbies, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while strengthening their connections with family, friends, and the local community.
Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
Deliver imaginative, fun, and varied daily activities that motivate and fulfill residents.
Help plan and coordinate a diverse schedule of social events, pastimes, and community outings.
Encourage residents to pursue their favorite personal interests and hobbies.
Foster an engaging, vibrant atmosphere that enhances resident well-being and social involvement during day shifts.
Candidate Requirements (What You'll Need)
No specific prior experience required—you can come from any background!
A strong sense of fun, creativity, and the ability to encourage and motivate others.
Enthusiastic, empathetic, and genuinely interested in supporting people.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a warm, approachable personality.
