Imaging Assistant (Bank / Flexible)

Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone, Kent

Hours: Bank contract (Flexible working hours covering Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 20:00, across days, evenings, and rotational weekends)

Hourly Rate: £13.20 per hour + accumulated holiday pay

We are currently recruiting an Imaging Assistant to join the multidisciplinary imaging team on a flexible bank basis at KIMS Hospital, Kent’s largest independent hospital.

What You Will Do

• Provide essential administrative and clinical support across various imaging modalities, including Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, CT, MRI, and Cross-Sectional Imaging.

• Assist and support patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring their preparation and aftercare are handled with the utmost compassion.

• Work closely with Radiologists and Breast Radiologists to assist with specialized procedures like Ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNAs) and biopsies, ensuring correct equipment setup and proper sample management to pathology.

• Promote patient independence while maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, and high standards of care at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) alongside a basic standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.

• Previous hands-on experience working in a care environment with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional attitude toward maintaining confidentiality.

• Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS check.
