We are currently seeking a dedicated Complex Healthcare Support Worker to support a lady living in her adapted home alongside her husband in Havant.
Following a road traffic accident, this loving mother and grandmother is motivated to stay active, engage with her community, and maintain her independence. If you have a positive approach and clinical confidence, this is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Person-Centred Care: Deliver safe, dignified personal care tailored to the client's routines and clinical needs.
Rehabilitation & Community Access: Support the client to access the community, attend medical appointments, physiotherapy sessions, the gym, and local activities, promoting her active lifestyle.
Specialist Clinical Duties: Provide essential stoma care, monitor skin integrity, and support general wound care needs.
Vehicle Operation: Confidently drive the client’s wheelchair-accessible vehicle for outings and appointments.
Empowering Independence: Encourage the client's independence and rehabilitation goals without taking over tasks, building a strong, professional rapport with her and her family.
To excel in this specialized agency placement, you will need:
A full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (essential).
Previous experience supporting an individual with a stoma (essential).
Knowledge of wound care / line management and prior complex care experience are highly desirable.
A positive, encouraging, and reliable approach with the ability to promote independence.
