In this part-time bank role based in Colchester, UK, you will work on an ad-hoc basis (including weekend coverage) according to business needs and your availability. Working within a multidisciplinary team alongside leading consultants, you will provide clinical support across anaesthetics and recovery, manage varied surgical caseloads, and supervise junior staff in Colchester, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout the anaesthetic and recovery phases in Colchester, UK.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and ward staff to ensure seamless continuity of care in Colchester, UK.

• Supervise, support, and mentor junior staff while maintaining clinical effectiveness and safety standards in Colchester, UK.

Requirements

• Active registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMC or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with the HCPC in Colchester, UK.

• Proven post-registration experience in theatre nursing, specifically within anaesthetics and post-anaesthetic care/recovery in Colchester, UK.

• Outstanding communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and flexibility to work ad-hoc shifts including weekends in Colchester, UK.
