Pay Rate: £15.37 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time (Full-time only)
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (05:30 – 14:00)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated operations and manufacturing talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Atherstone facility—where a team of around 600 colleagues produces popular sandwiches, wraps, rolls, Bircher pots, and toasties for major retailers like Aldi and Costa—we are currently seeking a reliable and energetic Prep Machine Operator for a full-time morning shift role.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Monitoring: Set up, operate, and monitor food processing machinery (including slicers, dicers, and mixers) to achieve production targets and ensure efficient runs.
Quality & Safety Checks: Conduct routine quality checks, complete production paperwork accurately, and strictly follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
Sanitation & Maintenance: Complete and sign off on machine cleaning and sanitation, maintaining a clean workspace and reporting any faults or breakdowns immediately.
Manual Handling: Perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy loads as part of daily preparation duties.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment, specifically operating food preparation machinery.
Core Skills: Basic numeracy and literacy skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
Attributes: A flexible approach to work, willingness to learn new processes, and a commitment to working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
