Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to support specialized home-care placements, partnering to find exceptional care providers for individuals with complex neurological needs. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his early sixties living in the lovely village of Hoo, Rochester, who has sustained a spinal injury affecting his mobility.
The client is proactive, values rehabilitation immensely, and is looking for confident support workers to assist him both at home and out in the community—sharing in his love for football, cooking, sunny days out at sandy beaches, and a good laugh!
Specialist Spinal Injury Care: Provide expert complex care interventions, including bowel management (bowel evacuations), neurogenic bladder care, physiotherapy support, and awareness/management of autonomic dysreflexia.
Rehabilitation & Mobility Support: Assist with a structured rehabilitation routine, including daily full-body stretches in bed, motivating him on parallel bars and gutter frames to build strength, and supporting gym sessions 2–3 mornings a week (approx. 1.5 hours focused on strength and fitness).
Community Access & Socialization: Drive and accompany the client using an automatic vehicle for community outings, beach trips, shopping, and social activities.
Care Plan Adherence: Follow nurse manager-written care plans precisely while communicating clearly and maintaining exceptional person-centred standards.
