We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for an experienced Customer Service Team Leader to lead their team at the Hull Depot in Melton.
As the Customer Service Team Leader, you will provide exceptional day-to-day supervision to the customer service team, ensuring the department functions at the highest level to deliver a first-class experience for both internal and external customers.
This is a key leadership and operational role where you will coordinate workflows, collaborate with other departments to minimize technician delays, and maintain professional communication with healthcare professionals like Occupational Therapists and District Nurses to support independent living in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, guide, and support the customer service team to ensure peak department performance.
Work closely with other departments to minimize depot delays for technicians and maximize available delivery time.
Oversee day-to-day work distribution and investigate all non-compliances.
Maintain a friendly, efficient telephone manner when liaising with local Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and District Nurses regarding technical, product, and client requirements.
Follow all Medequip Way customer service procedures and ensure timely, accurate email communication.
Utilize strong IT skills for fast and efficient database entry.
Work strategically with the operational team, focusing on short- and medium-term business objectives.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public, healthcare, or service-based industry role.
Skills: Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency across all MS Office packages, with strong IT capabilities.
Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, strategic vision, and the ability to lead a team while managing high-pressure situations with a calm, positive attitude.
