Care Assistant / Carer (Permanent) — Blackbird Leys, Oxford
Position: Permanent Care Assistant / Carer
Location: Longlands Care Home, Balfour Road, Oxford, OX4 6AJ
Pay Rate: £13.78 per hour (plus NVQ & weekend enhancements available)
Contract Type: Permanent / 24 or 36 hours per week (Flexible shifts)
Shift Pattern: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM & 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Working alternate weekends)

As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with this leading not-for-profit provider to find a dedicated permanent Care Assistant for Longlands Care Home in Blackbird Leys.
Situated in a quiet residential location at the heart of a very active local community in Oxford, Longlands offers a friendly, comfortable environment with a skilled and enthusiastic team focused entirely on person-centred care. Whether you are an experienced care professional or completely new to the sector, you will make a genuine, daily impact by supporting personal care, daily routines, and sharing meaningful companionship.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respectful, person-centred personal care (including washing, bathing, and toileting support).
Build meaningful, lasting relationships with residents to support their daily wellbeing and independence.
Bring kindness, exceptional care, and dignity to the home environment.
Communicate effectively as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
