Role Overview
As a Utilities Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of critical site utility systems. You will provide technical support during breakdowns, investigate downtime, identify root causes, and implement preventive maintenance programs across key systems such as boilers, water treatment, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, and regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize critical site utility systems in line with OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and manage specialist external contractors.
Monitor energy consumption, conduct air leak surveys, and support Crown's sustainability and energy-saving initiatives.
Collaborate with production teams, CPOs, and maintenance engineers to support equipment trials, installations, and commissioning projects.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and permit-to-work requirements.
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
Essential: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Utilities, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven hands-on experience operating and maintaining utility systems within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with boilers, compressed air, HVAC, water treatment, and environmental systems is highly desirable.
