We are partnering with Hatfield Peverel Care Home in Chelmsford—set in nine acres of stunning grounds with an impressive 9.6/10 carehome.co.uk rating—to find a detail-oriented and compassionate Housekeeping Supervisor. Hatfield Peverel offers a warm, lively community providing nursing, residential, and dementia care, featuring a dedicated dementia-friendly house and colour-themed spaces designed to support residents comfortably.
As a Housekeeping Supervisor through Supportive Bridge, you will ensure that every corner of the care home sparkles. You will lead a dedicated team of housekeepers, inspiring them to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene because a clean and comfortable environment is essential for resident wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, working closely with maintenance and management teams to keep every room well-looked-after.
Lead by example by vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and overseeing the general up-keep of all communal areas and residents' bedrooms.
Supervise housekeeping and laundry assistants, manage staff rotas, coordinate required training, and ensure all domestic supplies and items are fully stocked.
Build approachable, caring relationships with residents, getting to know each individual while collaborating closely with other care and support teams.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role, taking pride in maintaining an organised, high-standard environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently lead, motivate, and delegate tasks among a team.
An approachable and caring nature, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across a busy care home.
