Location: Stoneham Grove Care Home, Stoneham Farm, Reading, RG31 5UG (Home-based position with regional travel across Wokingham, Reading, and Bracknell covering approx. 4 homes)
Pay Rate: £32,000.00 per annum + £6,000.00 per annum Car Allowance
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40.00 hours per week

About the Role
As an Operational Trainer at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued delivery of Good and Outstanding care by helping staff feel confident, competent, compassionate, and person-centred. Acting as one of the key initial points of contact for new employees, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and delivering induction and development training aligned with Barchester objectives and training statistics.
Providing practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects and observing workplace practices.
Planning training calendars, maintaining up-to-date employee training files, and organizing induction paperwork and buddy systems prior to staff start dates.
Maintaining regular contact with new team members to coach and support them throughout their career progression.
Collaborating with Home Managers to implement personal development plans and promoting ongoing learning opportunities.
About You
We are looking for an experienced, passionate training professional committed to excellence in social care. To join us, you will need:
C&G 7300 (or equivalent teaching/training qualification).
A Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent hands-on experience working in the social care sector).
A strong working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care sector.
At least 2 years of training experience.
A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across the region.
