Your Role: What You’ll Do

Reporting to and supporting the Home Manager/Deputy Manager, you will lead clinical teams to provide and maintain the highest standards of nursing, while supervising training and performance.

• Clinical & Governance Leadership: Assist with administrative duties, lead clinical governance meetings, and assume overall responsibility for nursing/care management in the absence of the Home Manager.

• Quality Assurance: Oversee medication administration, manage shift planning, and audit care plans using the PCS system to ensure the highest standards of clinical accuracy.

• Staff Mentorship: Act as a role model, providing hand-on coaching, training, and performance mentoring to junior nurses and care staff.

• Inspection Readiness: Assist the Home Manager with care home inspections, professional visits, and compliance audits.

• Multidisciplinary Liaison: Build strong, collaborative relationships with GPs, social services, and wider Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT).

What We Are Looking For

We seek an experienced clinical leader who pairs top-tier clinical decision-making with a natural gift for coaching and team development.

• Professional Credentials: A recognized nursing qualification with an active UK NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).

• Proven Leadership: Experience leading clinical/care teams, managing shift rotas, and supervising performance—ideally in a care home environment.

• Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge of safeguarding, clinical policy frameworks, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

• Physically Active: Comfortable assisting residents with physical tasks, including supporting mobility.

• Eligible to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Gerrards Cross (SL9 7DP).
