ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Bank Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to create nutritious, flavoursome, and balanced menus tailored to residents' dietary needs and personal preferences. This flexible bank position allows you to choose shifts that fit your schedule while providing essential cover for annual leave or busy periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the kitchen and leading the culinary team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Prepare high-quality, wholesome dishes from fresh seasonal ingredients to restaurant standards.
Tailor person-centred menus around resident preferences and nutritional needs.
Maintain kitchen safety and compliance through stock control, budget awareness, and regular audits.
Support a warm, efficient, and inspiring kitchen environment.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a motivated chef who takes pride in culinary excellence and enjoys making a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives.
Requirements & Attributes:
Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
Experience: Background in fresh produce, menu planning, and team leadership in care, hotel, or commercial kitchens.
Safety Standards: Good practical knowledge of HACCP guidelines and kitchen hygiene.
Personality: Warm, personable, and dedicated to resident wellbeing with a focus on high standards.
