Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is delighted to assist our valued client in recruiting a dedicated Theatre Scrub Nurse (Band 5) to join their team in Amersham, UK. Located at the Amersham Plastics Skin Centre within an integrated NHS Trust, this elective surgical site conducts local-anaesthetic operations across Plastic, Vascular, and Oculo-plastic surgery, offering an outstanding environment to build specialist perioperative expertise.
In this full-time role, you will work as a key member of the Operating Theatre team, providing compassionate, high-standard perioperative care to ensure optimal patient safety. You will receive a tailored development and competency package to support your clinical growth, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care across scrub and recovery areas.
Role Description
As a Band 5 Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate skilled care within the operating theatre and recovery environment, maintaining high standards of clinical safety and patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-standard, safe perioperative scrub care during elective local-anaesthetic surgical procedures.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care plans alongside multidisciplinary healthcare colleagues.
Support the management of the Operating Theatre and Recovery area while supervising and assisting learners, support workers, and junior staff.
Requirements
Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse or HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner (applications also welcomed from newly qualifying graduates).
Essential qualifications including RN or ODP (NVQ Level 3 / Diploma in Higher Education in ODP / City & Guilds 752).
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong time management capabilities.

Calculated hourly rate of £16.45 to £20.02 per hour (based on £32,073 - £39,043 per annum pro rata across a standard 37.5-hour work week).
